Youth Alpha in Poitou Charentes

Youth Alpha has started in Poitou-Charentes. Sam, one of the leaders, reports:

“Catherine and I started our very first Youth Alpha Course in France in September. This is a course designed for a group of up to 6 young people between 13-18 to discover more about life and faith in a fun journey of discovery using a specially prepared video course over 8-10 weeks.

We begin with sharing a meal together and listening to our group talking about their week, then we watch an extraordinary set of videos filmed all over the world: London, New York, Paris, Jerusalem and more, which challenge our group and tease out answers to relevant questions about today’s world, the foundations of Christian faith and essential questions of life.

We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of these amazing young people. We are getting 9.5's out of ten in feedback, an eagerness to return for yet another week, and our group of three has grown to five already as they tell their friends!! However, it is the participation within group, the amazing answers to some BIG questions and their willingness to engage and open up which is enchanting and exciting, in equal measure, to witness. Now we are getting positive messages back from parents, here is an example: "Just a quick line to say so many thanks for arranging this Alpha Course. Each time J comes away he is so invigorated by what you have studied and/or discussed. Many, many thanks.."

This incredible voyage of discovery is a unique and wonderful experience for all. Currently 30,000,000 people (of all ages) have already participated in an Alpha Course worldwide and 20,000 per year follow an Alpha Course in france.
