Baptisms in Izmir

The church of St John’s Izmir, had a wonderful day on
Sunday 29 September when three young congregation members (two Turkish men and a women) were baptised during the Eucharist.  

We were delighted to be joined by a thirty-strong group from St John’s Anglican Cathedral, Hong Kong, who had been travelling with the Chaplain of St John’s Izmir, The Revd James Buxton, to the Seven Churches of Revelation. Please pray for the newly baptised, and for the Confirmation Service in Istanbul on 20 October when new Christians from Izmir and Istanbul are to be confirmed by the Honorary Assistant Bishop Richard Chartres.
