Goodbye in Lille

Christ Church Lille was packed on Sunday 24 November 2024 as the church welcomed friends, old and new, fellow clergy, and representatives of churches in the ecumenical group to say goodbye to Canon Debbie Flach who retired from ministry at the church.

The Archdeacon of France, Peter Hooper, preached a sermon and the musicians brought pleasure to all present and it was a delight to hear the organ, violin and voice raise the roof.

Debbie was presented with a number of gifts, and was overwhelmed by the generous donations to mark this occasion in a suitable fashion. Everyone was welcomed to a celebration drink and appetisers after the service.
