Spring Appeal 2025

I’m sitting in the front row at St Marc’s Grenoble, and it’s that time of the service when the children come back, before communion. Suddenly, the doors burst open, and it’s like a flood of energy! Over thirty lively, enthusiastic, and dynamic kids pour into the church, gathering at the front to share what they’ve been up to. You can’t help but smile, laugh, and get swept up in their excitement as they tell us all about their adventures.

Ernest and Funmi have been part-time children’s and youth workers for two years now, thanks to ICS. They’ve truly transformed the kids and young people’s ministry at St Marc’s. This unique church in Grenoble is a melting pot of locals, international workers, migrants, students, and people just passing through. It has an amazing energy, but it also faces some financial challenges. With so many people unable to work, the church needs our support and resources.

The youth ministry at St Marc’s has a carefully crafted programme of activities for different age groups. They use interactive methods, games, and resources to teach both in English and French. They also organise excursions and visits to connect people more deeply with each other and the wider world they’re a part of.

I want to highlight the Children and Youth Ministry at St Marc’s in the ICS Spring Appeal and ask you to make a gift so that we can continue supporting this important and thriving work. It’s a big moment for the church with the arrival of a new chaplain. I want to see this church flourish, become financially stable, and spread the Good News to everyone they meet. Thank you!
